FRIDAY AUGUST 2ND, 2024
OVER OVERDOSE TOWNHALL
Jamie’s Mom’s House would like to invite you to “Over Overdose” on August 2nd, 2024, hosted by the Centre For Excellence of Pensacola. Did you know that Escambia County experiences more overdoses per capita than any other county in the United States of America? It is time for our community to awaken to the magnitude of this disease that fills our streets, and everyone’s roll in seeing addiction irradicated in our generation. Addiction is no respecter of persons, young and old, rich and poor, healthy and sick, this plague on our society touches everyone and it is time that it stops. Community resources and food will be available prior to the beginning of our presentations. Presentations will cover “The Disease of Addiction, Signs and Symptoms,” “Journey to Recovery, Treatment and Resources,” “Magnitude of the Problem,” and a townhall discussion with an expert panel to conclude the night. Panel includes experts from law enforcement, legal agencies, government officials, nonprofit organizations, and concerned citizens.
